The Department of Architecture developed its vision throughout a series of workshops. A focus group in charge of developing the vision gathered to explore, and evaluate the interactive relationships between architecture and the evolving systems of society and its institutions. They reached the following vision statement that was approved in the board meeting of the department:

“The Department of Architecture at CUFE will be leading the architectural movement in Egypt in the 21st century, able to achieve competitiveness on both local and regional levels, and contribute to global architectural education academic initiatives”.
